Regular beach sandals might not be suitable for the seaside, so to kick off an unforgettable island trip, I bought two pairs of Crocs.

I’m planning a trip to an island, and I need a pair of beach shoes, so Crocs are my go-to choice. I usually wear Birkenstock sandals for commuting because they’re super comfortable and breathable, but they can’t handle water. Cheap clogs aren’t suitable either, so for my island adventure, I decided to get two pairs of Crocs.

Previously, I bought a pair for activities like creek hiking from the Crocs Online Store for $19.9. They lasted three summers but finally wore out during last year’s trip. Since I’m heading to the beach this year, I had to buy another pair.

I followed Crocs for two weeks at the start of the month but couldn’t find any good deals. I thought all EVA shoes were the same, so I bought a $5 pair on eBay to make do. As soon as I tried them on, they felt uncomfortable. The inside was really slippery, and even after taking them off, they stayed slick for a while. Has anyone else tried $5 EVA shoes? Are they all like this? It was unbearable, so I returned them.

With my departure date approaching, I decided to buy two pairs of Crocs from the Crocs Online Store. They’re currently offering up to 50% off.

The colors are great—classic and versatile in navy blue and white. The quality control is spot on, with no rough edges or minor flaws. Crocs always delivers excellent quality.

The basic style has a bit of a sole, around 2cm, I’d estimate.

The texture of the upper is really nice, with clear patterns and a comfortable feel. Crocs truly stands out among clogs.

The sides look great too, much better than the older models with cut-out letters.

The inside doesn’t have that slippery feel you get with cheaper options. The footbed feels quite comfortable.
